New Year and New Changes

This past year has been crazy for me. I graduated college, and spent some time unemployed before finally finding a job doing what I think I want to do. I say think because I'm still not entirely sure. I know I want to be working on and around video games, but there's so many different parts to making a video game and I'm not always good at making decisions.

I also recently made the decision to end what had been a very long relationship. It was a hard thing to do, but it was right for me. I hadn't felt truly happy in a very long time. While I know happiness has to come from myself, I also know that if I'm not happy with a relationship I never will be able to find my own happiness.

Ending that relationship also meant that I could no longer afford to live where I was. And while moving is a major pain, it's nice to be living with my parents again, and to be fairly close to a lot of my other relatives. I know a lot of people have issues with their family, and some of mine is pretty screwed up too, but I'm extremely close with the cousins on my dad's side.

I also recently reached 100 followers on Twitter. This really surprises me. When I first started using Twitter as a platform I just wanted to follow the WoW devs so I could see as they answered questions. I then decided it would be an okay spot to start talking about the Diabetes add-on that I have been working on. Lately a lot of it has just been random things that I've thought of, looking at WoW fan art, and retweeting other things. I also like being able to interact with other people who have helped me in some way or another. I like that I can be very free form on Twitter. If I want to interact with people I can, if I just want to read about other people's days I can do that too.

I recently fell behind in my monthly game challenge, and with only 4 days left in the year I'm not planning on finishing any other games. I will be starting it back up in January with Final Fantasy VIII. I had originally planned on that being my game for December, but with moving and traveling most of the month I haven't had much time to do anything besides work and visit family.

The year is almost over, and while this has been an exciting year, I'm ready to see what 2016 will have in store for me. I'm sure I will be making more friends, and possibly moving again for work. And definitely spending more time with my family than I have in a very long time.
